Cataract
A cataract is a common eye condition characterized by the clouding of the eye’s natural lens, leading to vision problems. They can cause blurry or cloudy vision, glare from lights, reduced color perception, and difficulty seeing at night. Age, genetics, and exposure to factors like UV radiation are common risk factors. Cataracts can significantly impact daily life but are treatable with surgery, where the cloudy lens is removed and replaced with an artificial intraocular lens (IOL), restoring clear vision and improving overall eye health.
